Todays Match Sponsor, A new challenge today both in terms of ground and team. With no real history on the team apart from knowing they beat Bentley in the last round. For Vics we fielded an unusual lean team, hoever the squad despite its tender years is a capable team. From the kick off both teams showed they meant business, the pitch despite being in a pcituresque park did lead to some difficult areas in which to play some Vics had the slightest of edge during the first half creating a number of corners and free kicks for there erfforts but no real shot on goal. The Poynton keeper was confident and moved well mopping up any half chances, Defensively we were competing well against two good wingers and a large central unit whilst the centr midfiekld of Nichols and Dean worked hard and effectively.
Managers Comments: A second realy competative match in a row, the team could not be faulted for effort. Defensively we could be accused of jumping in a little to often, but good performances from Nick Ball and Ed Hulse, some outstanding tackling from Adam Williams and great work from the central pairing of Dean and Nichols. A big dissapointment to loose but a second decent performance, with guts determination and some good football in a row. Again a game that gave some new positives.

Todays Match Sponsor, A fixture that has traditionally been a tight one. Barnton having the edge in league form with Vics falling away a little post Christmas. The pitch not the best but Vics welcomed back Alley Taylor following a lengthy injury and a starting debut for Luke Spedding. Also in the mix was Andy Rogers back from Uni. The game started quickley and for 35 minutes was a very even game. Both sides trying to play football but neither getting real opportunities, there was one warning when a cross from Barton's right was parried onto the bar, but on 36 minutes a cross again from the right agonisingly cleared the out stretched hand of Gregs directly into the net. A five miute purple patch saw everything go right for Barnton and nothing for the Vics and on 42 minutes we were 3-0 down. A gutsy show from Vics saw us pull one back on the stroke of half time when so great work from Matt Andrews was completed by Andy Rogers.
Managers Comments: A realy competative match and for the first time in a few weeks one that we competed in. Despite the score this is one of best performances in a number of weeks. We were competative in midfield, battled well across the pitch. Good performnces again from Nick Ball, Andy Rogers and an impressive start for Luke Spedding. A game that delivered more positives than negatives for me

Todays Match Sponsor, The Gow Family A return fixture to last weeks oppsositionton. It started in the same vane as last week, midfield stringest in favour of Lostock with Vics having the beetter of the forward play, however it must be said we didnt actual create the opportunities we had the week before. A closely fought battle ended all square at the end of the first half.
Managers Comments: Another highley competative match against a much improving side. In honest truth the points went to the side that desrved them most. These type of games we must win if we want to make a serious attempt at the league so a little dissapointing from that perspective. On the positive side the young players are improving week on week a much better game from Tom Wilson and Gregs in goal.

Todays Match Sponsor,
A local trip today to Nortwich against opposition currently placed at the opposite end of the table.
In fairness to Lostock there performance was not in keeping with there position and a gutsy hard fought battle ensued. Vics had the end in terms of looking most likely to score but we were second in midfield and the back four had to work hard. It was Matt Andrews who made the break through just before half time with a header from a free kick.Second half startted the same way with Vics increasing the lead from a second goal from Matt Andrews and a third from Adam Nichols. Thats not to say the back four and keeper had an easy time they didnt.
Managers Comments: A very competative game against a team thats underachieving for its ability. Our work rate was good and two more good goals from Matt Andrews and another clean sheet.
