Second half swung slightly in favour of Poynton the slight slope changing the game a little.  Midfield and defensively we were still competing well but not creating and as a result didnt see the pressure from good shots we had hoped for. On 15 minutes a goal for Poynton re-iterated the change in fortune.  Vics dug deep and changes as legs tired put us back in the driving seat with two reasonable opportunities being missed in the last ten minutes.  Final score 1-0 to Poynton in a very tight game.

Managers Comments: A second realy competative match in a row, the team could not be faulted for effort.  Defensively we could be accused of jumping in a little to often, but good performances from Nick Ball and Ed Hulse, some outstanding tackling from Adam Williams and great work from the central pairing of Dean and Nichols.  A big dissapointment to loose but a second decent performance, with guts determination and some good football  in a row.  Again a game that gave some new positives.

Second half was just as even both sides tiring following the fast and furious first half, one mistake from a corner allowed Barnton in for a fourth but shooting chances were limited for both sides with the games being played in between the boxes. .

Managers Comments: A realy competative match and for the first time in a few weeks one that we competed in.  Despite the score this is one of best performances in a number of weeks.  We were competative in midfield, battled well across the pitch.  Good performnces again from Nick Ball, Andy Rogers and an impressive start for Luke Spedding.  A game that delivered more positives than negatives for me

Second half was much of the same but Lostock had the edge and were very unlucky not to take the lead with claims the ball had crossed the line.  Vics luck however ran out when Lostock were wrongly awarded a penalty, this was agognising finished with Gregs getting his fingers to it but not able to keep it out.  Lostock now played with more belief and despite a resurgance of the Vics Lostock remained a threat and added a second with 4 minutes to play.

Managers Comments: Another highley competative match against a much improving side. In honest truth the points went to the side that desrved them most.  These type of games we must win if we want to make a serious attempt at the league so a little dissapointing from that perspective.  On the positive side the young players are improving week on week a much better game from Tom Wilson and Gregs in goal
.

A local trip today to Nortwich against opposition currently placed at the opposite end of the table.

In fairness to Lostock there performance was not in keeping with there position and a gutsy hard fought battle ensued.  Vics had the end in terms of looking most likely to score but we were second in midfield and the back four had to work hard.  It was Matt Andrews who made the break through just before half time with a header from a free kick.
Second half startted the same way with Vics increasing the lead from a second goal from Matt Andrews and a third from Adam Nichols.  Thats not to say the back four and keeper had an easy time they didnt.

Managers Comments: A very competative game against a team thats underachieving for its ability.  Our work rate was good and two more good goals from Matt Andrews and another clean sheet
.
